Tim Knight was born in 1964 and played basketball for his father at Indiana from 1983 to 1987. He is the first of the two sons. He was a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection and helped the Hoosiers win the 1987 NCAA championship.
After his playing career ended, Tim worked as an assistant coach for his father at Indiana and Texas Tech. He is currently the head coach at Lamar University.

A well-known figure in American basketball history, Patrick Clair Knight is renowned for his abilities as a coach and scout.
He became the West Coast Region college scout for the Indiana Pacers on July 1, 2014. Prior to this, he had a distinguished coaching career.
He was the men’s basketball head coach at Texas Tech Red Raiders and the basketball head coach of the Lamar Cardinals.
Beyond coaching, Knight is involved in the basketball world. With a lot of experience working with a variety of teams in the NBA, USBL, IBL, NCAA, and CBA, he has held a variety of coaching, administrative, and scouting positions.
After his father’s retirement in 1991, Pat was head coach at Lamar until his dismissal in 2014. He also played for Indiana from 1991 to 1995. Following his father’s retirement, Pat Knight coached Texas Tech before relocating to Lamar.
Being the son of the renowned Bob Knight, a Basketball Hall of Fame member, Patrick Clair Knight has a notable basketball lineage. In 2008, he even followed in the footsteps of a coaching icon by succeeding his father as the 13th head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
